Radio Knife Demonstrated For Bloodless Cancer Surgery

Chicago April 16 a radio knife for bloodless cancer operations was demonstrated by Dr L Schmidt using a low power radio transmitter. The knife resembles a knitting needle with a sheet of time as the opposite terminal. Current resistance heats the tissue enabling the knife to burn through skin and muscle with no pressure. Schmidt noted tissue was seared to a depth of about thirty seconds of an inch, making delicate procedures possible.
