Foraker favored for Senate by Ohio representative
Representative J. F. Laning of Norwalk Ohio declared support for Senator Foraker’s reelection saying Ohio Republicans are coalescing behind his present Senate role. He argues Taft’s backers should back Foraker to end intra party fighting and aid Taft’s presidential bid. He cites positive reactions to Foraker’s Brownsville speech and warns retirement would hurt Ohio’s prestige.
