Thousands visit zoo as monkeys steal the show
Brisk spring sunshine drew crowds to the Washington Zoo for a Sunday of animal portraiture and playful antics. Children mobbed cages as the new orangutan, Dunk, puzzled by visitors, and old favorites like Dunk and Flo the gigantic bear drew keen attention. Monkeys entertained with antics, while other inmates like the two South American birds and a loud pair of Siberian snakes added color to a lively day.
