D A R Watch Clock Ended by Hotel Rule at Arlington

Lively session of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington adjourned at the Arlington Hotel after a clash between conservatives and regulars over endorsing Mrs. Scott's administration. Resolutions supporting the president general failed, and adjournment followed a judge of decorum. Mary E. Rows proposed the resolution, but it did not pass as the conservatives resisted further action. The meeting shifted to annual reports and committee statements, with references to the Society of the Children of the Revolution and lineage noting Thomas Welles as an ancestor of Mrs Taft.
