De Lacy Named Judge of District of Columbia Tuverue Court

President Roosevelt announced the appointment of William H De Lacy as judge of the new Tuverue Court for the District of Columbia to take effect after July 1 1906. The selection followed a clash between rivals James E West and J Edgar Smith and comes with a six year term and a clerical staff. De Lacy, born in the city February 8 1883, educated at Georgetown and Catholic University, is active in charity and law society circles. The court may defer sentences for youths under seventeen and place them under probation supervision with possible parole.
