Chile Keeps Silent On Sending Minister To Washington
Chile shows pique slow to send a minister to Washington after Walker Martines left post following the Rio Pan American conference. Discontent stems from congress budget neglect and a broader Latin American struggle over elevating Chile to ambassadorial rank. Brazil and Argentina oppose, others hint at withdrawing ministers.
