Lawhead detained after suspected drugging and theft claim
Wes Lawhead a Knox county resident arrived in the city claiming he was a detective. He was arrested after failing to provide credentials and later fell ill in jail with convulsions. Doctors doubt drugging and suspect a drunken illness from recent drinking. He was released after Mayor Russell court, while detailing a beer incident at Raycraft saloon and a missing $20. Lawhead, about 33, married and now divorced, returned home Tuesday noon.
