Elisha Dodge a respected citizen of this city died at his home after a two week illness from paralysis and brain hemorrhage. Born September 17 1844 near Greenville he served in the Civil War before settling in Daviess and later the city. He leaves a wife three stepchildren, a sister and two brothers. funeral was at the Methodist church and burial at Good Will cemetery.

Murder at Evansville ends in knife attack
