Programs are ready for the second annual meeting of the Second district group of the Indiana Bankers association in this city on Thursday May 27. The event at Masonic hall will open at 1 30 with a two session program and about 100 delegates are expected from sixty banks. Early Wednesday morning a fire destroyed the home of J. E. Lucas northeast of the city on Edwardsport road. Mrs. Lucas and a child escaped as flames engulfed the building. Loss estimated at 550 dollars, partly insured. Fire origin undetermined with suspicions of arson. Lucas was janitor at the nearby school.
