Dr Jackson L Moore 72 prominent Washington and Daviess County figure dies after nineteen weeks of illness at his home on southeast Seventh street. Civil War captain of Comp D 27th Indiana Volunteers later resigned in 1862 due to rheumatism. He practiced medicine 50 years with 28 years in Washington. Survived by wife Mrs Joe Dye and five children, funeral Monday at residence with Masons and Baker in charge at Oak Grove cemetery.
