J. F. Floyd resigns as First Christian pastor
Rev. J. F. Floyd, pastor of the First Christian church, files his resignation to take effect July 5, 1903, accepted by the official board. He came from Kokomo Indiana eighteen months ago and left due to the church’s financial inability to retain him. He plans to stay in the city briefly and has not chosen a new location. The church will not likely call another pastor for months.

Insane Man Denied Smallpox Hospital Transfer
Frank Sturgeon of the West End was declared insane and planned for transfer to Woodmere Hospital in Evansville, but a smallpox diagnosis prevented the move. Vandals Throw Rocks At Hay Ride On East Fifteenth Street
