Ceremonies at east Walnut and Second streets drew several hundred people for the corner stone laying of the Westminster Presbyterian church now under construction. Masons led by Adrian Hamersly and Aikman laid the stone. a choir and Citizens band provided music. completion is targeted for fall with a $35 000 cost and stone construction. Frankfort Pastor Dr Hudson Resigns to Lead Pomona Church
Rev Dr Hudson, longtime pastor of the Frankfort Christian church, will resign at the start of October to become pastor of a Pomona California church. His departure follows seven years of growth here, with membership rising from about 608 to near 1,000 and a Sunday school of 490 to 500. He has served as president of Associated Charities and helped found a building and loan group.
