The Goal-Mikers union in the county demands increased pay as strike action begins. Leaders say members will coordinates work stoppages until demands are met, with talks scheduled this week at the county labor board.

A frightened team near Montgomery Township spooked while being driven by Brindley and bolted. Brindley was thrown from the wagon breaking his limb and sustaining other injuries as bystanders aided him at the scene. Local polling place reported the incident three miles south of Montgomery.
