City Water Filing Suit Over Damages for Water and Sewage Pollution
Attorneys for the City Water Company sue the city for 320,000 in damages claiming nonpayment for water from late 1902 and alleging sewage from city vaults drains into Hawkins Creek polluting the water. Kicked by a Horse Injures Young Meade Relative
Early this morning at the Meade home in Harrison township Will Meade, about eighteen, was kicked in the forehead by a horse. A backgash cut and seriously injured him. Dr. G W Willeford attended. The incident comes as rural mail routes face possible discontinuation due to bad roads and weather.

Trainmen Win Wage Advance By Runs Agreement
After six weeks of daily talks in Cincinnati between H&O,W officials and a B&O,S,W trainmen committee, a wage increase basis was agreed. The new scale averages about five percent, with some routes higher and others lower, effective immediately. Engineers and firemen will present their case soon.

Wheatland youths jailed for throwing rocks at train
Charles Johnson aged nineteen and Stanley Ebert sixteen, both of Wheatland, were arrested in Vincennes after allegedly throwing stones at No.1 the B and O S W fast train as it passed through Wheatland. Stones broke several window panes and passengers were scratched though no serious injuries reported. Det. J S Bradford secured confessions from at least one, bonds posted Friday night. Both boys said to come from good families. In other notes, James Utt took a fireman job on the B&O SW, brakeman Rudolph Holman injured after a fall at Mitchell, Harry Evans to St Louis as assistant cashier, and several railroad officials returning from trips.
