A well known young farmer from the Big Windy neighborhood suffered injuries in an accident. Efforts from Dr. Toh and Ww Clarke are noted as the man is expected to recover as he rests at home after the incident.
Miss Wilmington of Martinsville files damages claim against Mr. Traub, a prominent Steenstown farmer in Knox County Dear Westland area. She says they planned marriage after meeting at Martinsville Springs and she bought a wedding gown, but Traub postponed and repeatedly delayed nuptials while continuing to visit Martinsville, causing alleged damages.
Hart Lone contractor faced trial in Mayor Clark's court on charges of stealing cash from Reuben Gilmore eight dollars from John Bundy and attempting to take the assets of Foster. The case never came to trial after payments settled debts and Hart Lone released the accused.
County Auditor Thomas Nugeht has completed figures for the semi annual settlement with the state. County Treasurer Geo B McWilliams will go to Indianapolis Wednesday to turn over $20 462.56 in state taxes and interest. State tax collections for the second installment totaled 04 776.76 and county taxes 22 830.22 with gravel road funds at 9 717.98.
Adem Gerlardh, once based in Washington, teams with John Rotterstein of Vincennes to run a furnace and shop venture. Gerlardh has years of installing success and the new firm will handle furnaces and related services.
Nicholas E. Barkley of Odon cannot accept the deputy-treasurer position due to eye problems. County Treasurer-elect H Truelove regretfully notes the decision and plans to appoint his son A Truelove, a medical student, January first.

The Martin Circuit Court overruled Stoy’s new trial motion in the Indiana Hydraulic Power Company dispute. Stoy plans an appeal to the Indiana Supreme Court, with a decision likely two years away. The 799 land offer for eight acres was rejected, amid local charges of bias against the utility.
Engineer E Fide Gox of Worthington in Washington to survey the Washington branch of the Vincennes Jasper interurban. He plans surveys from near Fritchton toward Washington as weather allows, aiming to link Vincennes and Washington while using only about five miles of the Vincennes Jasper track. The project parallels the B and O and 8 W routes and has been financed.

The six month old child of Mr and Mrs Noble Fitts died this afternoon of pneumonia. John Miles a prominent farmer near Bramble died several days ago of hemorrhage of the lungs after a period of poor health. He was unmarried ninety four years old and held in high esteem by all who knew him. Interment in St Joseph cemetery.
