Sunay arrest of Edward Busic, a fourteen year old of Van Trees Street, follows a police stakeout at the Terre Haute post office. He is bound over to the federal grand jury after confessing to stealing mail matter and missing checks worth about 1200 dollars. His father arrived to the scene believing his son had been hurt.
John Isenhauer escaped from the Indiana reformatory at Jeffersonville and after a circuitous route through Oklahoma and Illinois he was recaptured in Evansville Sunday. W H Blodgett of the Indianapolis News reports that Warren G Sayre of Wabash could return to the legislature by acclamation from the Republican county organization and be elected speaker again if he decides to run He has not yet decided or refused and may again seek the speakership if he goes back

Veale denies death and continues search while a Kansas fortune rumor is dismissed as false. Veale works at Martin County Tribune and brother John Veale is in the county infirmary.
L C Orr led efforts to locate unmarked graves in Jeffersonville Eastern cemetery for six Confederate soldiers who froze to death on New Year’s Day 1863 while enroute to a northern prison. Their bodies, once found, may be moved to Cave Hill Louisville for reburial in the Confederate lot. The deaths occurred after tempatures dropped below zero in Wall Street yards while awaiting transport from the South.
George A Cunningham of Evansville, longtime First District Republican chairman, plans to run again. He is currently in Mississippi on a hunting trip with supporters and will return in a few days to focus on politics. No active opponent is listed at this time.

Oliver M Peyton wed Nora Burnett of Cannelburg at Cannelburg with Rev Duffy officiating. The groom once lived in this city and plans to return to Bedford. Also Pius Clements and Mary H Crane were married at St Simon’s parsonage. he works in the shops and they will reside in the city.

A. M. Beasley of Linton filed suit in Greene circuit court at Bloomfield against the 2. T. & H. Railroad for 5000 dollars. Beasley alleges he was ejected from a train near Elnora after the conductor altered his destination. He says the conductor stopped the train, the brakeman and two others beat him, and he was forced to jump off. He walked to Elhora and returned to Linton Tuesday morning.
