Aged Woman Dead Mrs Jane Thomas of Loogootee
Mrs. Jane Thomas of Loogootee died after a period of illness from stomach trouble and debility. She had lived in Washington, married to the late William Thomas, and was active in the M E church. Survived by five children Henry John Charlie Leander and Emma, with burial to be in Washington after funeral arrangements.

Beer on the Streets Horses fracturing wagon scare at depot
A horse hitched to a wagon for an Evansville bar firm driven by P A McCarty bolted from the E and I depot this afternoon and fled east on Main street. At Meridian the wagon struck a dray driven by James Nolan.

The shaft and one wheel of the dray were smashed and the beer wagon uped. Several cases of beer were dumped out and bottles strewn along the street but none were broken. The horse broke loose from the wagon and ran to Barnett's livery barn.

Boy suffers skull fracture after horse kick in Cornettsville
Eight year old Willie Myers, son of Ed Myers of Cornettsville, was kicked by a horse on Wednesday evening. He sustained a skull fracture and a deep cut over the left eye. Dr. Hargop treated him. doctors believe recovery is likely as the skull was not crushed.

Saw Mill Employee Injured at Wilson Land Mill
William Jones, an employee at a saw mill on the Wilson land two miles east of the city, had his hand cut by a circular saw this morning. One finger was severed and two others badly lacerated. Hoe attended to his injuries in the city.
