Young brakeman Blackwell Victim Of Freight Car Accident
Thirty two year old Blackwell, a brakeman on the B and O Southwestern, was seriously injured at Vincennes while coupling on local freight train 34. His foot was crushed and several bones broken as his foot was caught between drawbars. Doctors dressed the wounds then he was taken home. Amputation may be required. He is twenty two and learning the road on his second trip. He will be disabled for some time.

Death of Oliver Summers in Odon Township
Oliver Summers died Thursday at 3 o clock at his home in Odon after a two year illness. Born in Madison Township, he was 44, a farmer and butcher, a Republican, and survived by a widow and five children. He belonged to the Haights of Hythias and Ben Hur fraternities. Two brothers, Jacob and John Summers, and three sisters survived, with services set by local arrangements.
