Trouble For Signing Another Man's Name
Ottis W. Harrod was arrested at noon at his home for signing another man's name on notes and obtaining money. He allegedly used signatures of Warner G. Smoot and others to cash two notes for $325 and $100, then sought loans with Smoot as security. A Washington National Bank clerk questioned Smoot's signature and a witness, leading to further scrutiny and Harrod's growing trouble.
