Daviess County Teachers Institute Notes and Addresses
Wednesday session opened with the theme Onward Child Soldier led by Rev Brikert and devotion. Prof Beyan urged to size up the situation before applying the rule and to show pupils implicit confidence. Miss Palmer spoke on English literature history. Editor Bell and Prof Yoder attended. audience praised music and piano by Miss Palmer. The old time teachers license shows a 1863 certificate for Miss O H Rodick. The institute drew 280 attendees, with Supt. Wallace and Prof. Bryd leading sessions. Rosdick noted as registrar and longest active teacher.
