James Allen, a 23 year old farmer, was injured on a Chelsea area farm while tightening a wire fence. A broken wire severed an eye area and he is en route to Cincinnati for specialist treatment with little hope of saving eyesight. He resides with James H. Wilson on Bedford road.

Runaway Buggy Injures Two Loogootee Men
Bernard Seals and Will Rogers were badly hurt after a horse frightened by a pig in the road ran toward Loogootee during Harvest Home festivities near Montgomery. Both men were thrown from the buggy. Seals suffered possible serious back injuries while Rogers sustained arm and shoulder bruises. The rig was demolished.
