In circuit court Judge Houghton grants a new hearing for Tom Byers after prosecutors and defense counsel argue the motion. A recent law limits sentences for embezzlement under 25 dollars to 100 days in jail or a fine of 850, reducing Byers’ bond and potentially freeing him pending trial.
Attorneys Padgetti Padgett Hastings Allen Hastings Gardiner Slimp appeared in Steele township gravel road case for petitioners and respondents. Ground contested and little headway noted as case slated to come up again before Judge Houghton by remonstrators.
