Work begins on Kiel’s 550 by 65 foot mammoth dock to deck Kaiser Friedrich type ironclads. Hamburg and Hamburg press push back against pork claims amid socialist growth and fundraising. Also reported are a fatal Evansville plant accident and the Illinois physician Benjamin Griffith’s death.
