Iowa City Council declines action against Roan
The Iowa City City Council will take no action against City Manager Peter F. Roan after reviewing driving while intoxicated charges filed in Fort Madison. Rodney Brown two died from burns after a hog house fire at the family farm near Lenox Iowa. His siblings Allen and Arlinda escaped as they carried smouldering corn stalks into the building before the fire spread. Rodney suffered burns to the upper body and was rescued by his grandmother Mrs. Charles Veatch.

Rally Day Services Draw Large Crowd in Central Park
