Sheep, a Crow leader, was convicted in Big Horn county for possession of mescal buttons. He argues his use stems from Native American church rituals and cites Romans XIV, Revelations II, and Isaiah to justify his practice under state and federal narcotics laws. The Montana Supreme Court will decide this fall if biblical authority allows mescal use.
