TRACIS system launched to unify Iowa traffic and crime data
Gov. Robert D. Ray signs an executive order launching TRACIS a centralized information system for state and local officials. Terrance Swanson will direct the project with a 16788 annual salary. full operation expected July 1974 at about 1.3 million yearly running cost and 1.8 million design cost, funded largely by federal aid. United Presbyterian Church rises from two merging Iowa congregations
Construction starts on a new United Presbyterian Church at Main Street and North Second Avenue to unite First and Marion Avenue Presbyterian Churches in Washington Iowa.
