Westbury New York September 21 two men died when the trans Atlantic plane of Captain Rene Fonck crashed during an attempted non stop takeoff to Paris. Charles Clavier and Jacob Islamoff perished trapped in the cabin while Fonck and Lieutenant Laurence Curtin escaped. Officials blame buckling of an extra landing wheel. 2,200 gallons of gasoline fed the blaze as spectators watched.
