Car and motorcycle crash near Muscatine leaves one dead
Police search for hit and run driver after a car collided with a motorcycle south of Muscatine killing Patricia Tietje 20 and seriously injuring Annabelle Jackson 21 who were Muscatine residents. At University Hospitals Iowa City Jackson remains in serious condition with head injuries. In Hartford a federal panel overturned Connecticut's four month old anti abortion law in a 2 1 decision. Governor Meskill commented after reading the ruling. In Washington Rep John Kyl Iowa announced 110 400 federal grant plus 27 600 county funds to build two 15 mile recreation trails near Knoxville.
