He spoke on physical effects of alcohol and will present Ben Hur illustrated lecture with church hosts open tonight and tomorrow night. W A Manners of the county farm joined soldiers to Louisville for a trip and found Cave Hill Cemetery well terraced with 408 acres and many graves including three Iowa soldiers. He also saw a large cave complex and a spring area, visited St Louis with parks and a world fair, and returned home Saturday night. He noted the Cassion explosion near the exposition and shared various local notes from Brighton and Creston segments.

Academy Boys Grapevine Raid and Court Fines
A group of Academy boys raided a south town grape vineyard last night leaving the owner with stripped vines. Deputies arrested about fifteen to twenty youths who paid fines before Justice Rogers. A boy later claimed it was a setup to introduce newcomers to college life. the fine was refunded. A. J. Oldaker of Suitable Life, Wellman, is in the city on business.
