City council approved the contract with Electrical Equipment Company of Chicago for the new municipal light plant. A three-member committee was appointed to supervise construction and bids are to be opened September 20. Building to be ready for machinery by November 1, with a twenty acre and 120 incandescents layout planned. Deadly details include Washington labor for most work and local contractors to win the building contract.
