William Bennette Myers, a Cedar Township native, died at 4 40 am at his North Iowa Avenue home after a nine month heart illness. He was born June 9 1848 at Fort Des Moines and died September 17 1926 in Washington Iowa at age 75 3 8. Survived by wife Juliet David son married 1869 and two children Joseph Wilmot of Minneapolis Harold J Myers. three grandchildren. Two children Chauncey E Myers and Esther Myers Thompson preceded him. He lived in Davis Creek then Cedar Township before moving in 1921 to his final home. Funeral plans pending at L A Jones funeral home.
