Baptist Convention Closes in Well Attended Meeting
Washington Baptist association wrapped up a well attended convention at Prairie Flower church. Officers were re elected except assistant clerk Mrs. Ellen Dayton was replaced by Mrs. Ehbrenfeldt. The group endorsed memorial markers for the first Baptist church site near Danville and planned a 100th anniversary observance. A new men’s organization formed with Long, Reif, and Cady leading. a women’s meeting occurred without officers. Speakers included Dr. Frank Anderson Newton Carman and Rev. Fred Crown. about 125 attended the Young People’s Banquet.
