Kirkwood Community College sponsors adult education with Washington Community School District. Seventeen classes start mid September with as needed registrations, student tuition details, and instructor listings across clerical practice budgeting sewing estate planning photography and more. Some courses provide free tuition for social security recipients if eight paying students enroll.

Kirkwood enrollment climbs for fall term at Kirkwood CC
Kirkwood Community College reports 3,445 students enrolled for the fall term, up 8.7 percent from last year. Vocational students total 1,733 and arts and sciences 1,712, with vocational up 11.4 percent and arts and sciences up 6.8 percent. Daytime and evening high school programs and adult education not included. Over 20,000 enrollments expected in 1973-74 for community education programs.

Mid-Prairie juniors to take PSAT National Merit tests
Mid-Prairie High School juniors may take the PSAT NMSQT on October 23. The test measures verbal and mathematical aptitude and helps determine scholarship eligibility. It also informs students about scholarships and inclusion in the College Board's student search files.

Teresa and Anita Munn hosted the regular meeting with fifteen members present. Guests included Diane Richardson, Jean Sinn and Teresa Lukavsky. Joni Swift was asked to form a five member committee for a club display for 4 H week. Yvonne Lemberger spoke on Plan Before You Buy and Mary Schneider on Sleep and Exercise. Teresa Munn demonstrated French Omelet and Connie Glandon demonstrated Sewing on a Button. Record books were reviewed and leaders showed meeting slides. Refreshments were provided by hostesses and their mother.
