Crowd Leaves Kirkhart Circus After Short Show
The crowd judged Kirkhart's circus weak with acts cut short, the entertainment lasting under an hour, while the city’s finest band performed a sunny open air concert on the square yesterday afternoon before moving to Pair Field for today’s show. L Mellree, moved from Riverside to Mt Pleasant asylum in April, died there yesterday. Funeral for Mellree will be at Riverside tomorrow. Mellree was Kauffman’s brother in law and father of a Riverside resident. Mellree had paralysis before death.
