Satellite Will Be Completed in 1957
London United Press reports Detroit based Howard Perkins announced the first gold plated earth satellite will be completed about January 1 1957. He described a 20 inch magnesium ball about four pounds with interior bracing and instruments plated in nearly pure gold to record data and transmit to earth. About 15 to 20 such satellites will be produced to orbit at speeds near 18000 miles per hour hundreds of miles above the planet.

Red China Surrenders Bodies Of Two Lost Americans
The Communist radio in Peiping said China handed over the bodies of two U S military personnel to British officials in Beijing.
