Mount Pleasant Iowa. Frank Lyon 67 and his wife also 67 were killed Monday night when their car left a country road, plunged through a ditch and into a field near an intersection. Sheriff Van Tuy said both died almost instantly. Lyon, a retired farmer, misjudged the distance and could not slow for the turn.

He was born January 31 1871 in Washington County and married Nellie Laurene Acheson on February 5 1896 at Ainsworth. Survived by two grandsons Larry and James and several nieces with a son Harold preceded in death. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2 pm at Jones Funeral Home with Rev Dale Brehmer. burial in Ainsworth Cemetery.
