Two Men Sentenced For Drunk Driving In Washington County
Judge Frank Bechly sentenced two men for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated in Washington County District Court. Walter Manning of Merrimac near Brighton, and Samuel Snizer, a Washington stone cutter, pleaded guilty and drew fines of 300 dollars or jail. Manning was arrested Saturday night in Brighton. Snizer was stopped on Highway 218 in Highland township by Patrolman Don Braden. The cases mark the fourth DUI charge for the September term, with more on the docket after bonds were posted last summer. The grand jury met yesterday and remained in session. Bechly left for Montezuma after sentencing Snizer and planned to return to Washington next Monday.
