Lance Frederick the five year old son of Dr and Mrs Karl Frederick of Washington passed the Red Cross swimming test at age five years four months becoming likely Iowa’s youngest to qualify. He began swimming at the Washington YMCA at one and has a long list of feats including 140 yard continuous swim and a 15 foot high board dive. He aims to become a University of Denver swimmer.
