Antiques Enthusiast John Black Shelters a Lifetime Collectio
Bruce Cowden visits 82 year old John Black at his West Madison Street home to view a vast antique haul. They tour cluttered rooms with books, canes, clocks, and Civil War letters, noting valuable tomes, old Bibles, and heavy shelves that threaten the floor. Black recalls buying cheap volumes, selling selectively, and savoring the chase of collectibles.
