Abandoned Baby In Car Fights For Life In Iowa
A two to three month old baby boy found abandoned in a Knoxville Iowa car last night remains in a local hospital in a malnourished condition. Detectives have no clues on how the child was placed in the vehicle but a paper sack with the baby's belongings was discovered nearby. Physicians say the infant's poor nourishment indicates the mother could not provide adequate food.

Pays With Life for Murder Committed in Texas Last Winter
Henry Helms died in the electric chair at 12 16 am in Huntsville Texas for his role in a Christmas holiday bank robbery at the First National Bank of Cisco. Four bandits led by a Santa Claus impersonator used a girl as a shield and killed two officers. Helms fought death for over a year and died tight lipped after being dragged to the chair.
