UPI-Scripps-Howard reporter Henry N. Taylor aged 32 was killed near Tchelenge 17 miles southeast of Bakwanga while covering clashes between Congolese troops and Baluba tribesmen. Hannah E. Hayes age 88 of 714 W Main Washington died early Sunday Sept 4 at University Hospital Iowa City after four weeks illness. Survivors include her husband one sister Lana Crone of Quincy Ill and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by an infant son two brothers and a sister.

Ten Rescued From Raft Off Florida
Ten men and two boys spent 22 hours adrift after their fishing boat sunk 20 miles offshore from Shell Point Florida.
