Fair Grounds Hosts Busy Race Day And Bicycle Feature
Yesterday the fairgrounds drew crowds for a 38 minute pace race worth 100 dollars with Lady J first, Deliano second, Slow Dick third. Daisy K led the two year old trot for 50 dollars, followed by Round House Maid and Miss Berkhart. Mort Keeley won a bicycle race in 2:38 with Sam Miller and Billy Graham close behind. A full afternoon card includes purse events and a handicap bicycle race set for tomorrow. The grounds were packed as teams arrived and pleasant weather boosted attendance.
