Seek Driver of Truck Involved in Accident Victim May Lose Arm
An accident eight miles east of Sigourney on primary road No 2 last night left Edward Bentler 31 of Salem Iowa gravely injured with flesh torn from his left arm above the elbow. A truck that failed to stop struck Bentler’s car causing heavy damage. three red lights on the truck were noted but the driver fled. Bentler and three passengers were hospitalized with various injuries. Local sheriffs tracked the case and the injured were moved to West Chester and Keokuk county facilities as doctors feared amputation of Bentler’s arm.
