Federal Funds Shift in Public Works Over a Decade
The text notes a funding change from the 1920s to the 1934–1940 period. In the 1920s federal dollars covered only one twelfth of public construction and maintenance, but between 1934 and 1940 they financed more than half. The statement contrasts earlier and later federal involvement in public building projects.
