Bruce Mitchell of near Cedar Rapids was badly injured in an auto collision near Wellman while riding in Henry Fosters Ford with Foster Wilma Stricker Jean McIntosh and others. Mitchell suffered a double skull fracture and arm fracture and was taken to University Hospital Iowa City. The Ford wrecked. McIntosh arm dislocated and finger broken Stricker tooth knocked out Foster cut above eye. The Chevrolet occupants were uninjured. Mitchell had traveled from a reforestation camp in Preston Minnesota with Walter Godlove for a weekend in Wellman.
