Train Wreck Kills Seven in Wisconsin Washout
Seven killed and twenty one injured when five cars of a Chicago and Northwestern sleeper train plunged down a twenty five foot embankment near Shawano Wisconsin. A bridge washout caused the crash as a cloudburst swept away the structure minutes before the train's arrival. Seven crew members died and most injuries were in the occupied passenger cars. The wreck halted in dense woods and relief efforts were led by General Manager Cantillon.
