Farm outlook hints at cattle market swings through 1974
Iowa State University extension economist Gene Futrell says fed cattle marketings may rise then ease and rise again over the coming year. The USDA Cattle on Feed report shows Oct 1 cattle on feed at 12.1 million, with gains in North Central and Western states and heavier weights increasing while lighter categories shrink.
