Mr and Mrs Jas Stevenson of Brighton street marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary on October 29 1846 with a large family celebration in Washington area. Six children five sons and one daughter survive them along with several grandchildren. A sister Mrs Carson Anderson attended and many relatives joined the elegant dinner and recalled earlier days.
