Ex-Supervisor Roy Mapel Dies in Washington County
Roy H. Mapel former member of the Washington county board of supervisors died at 2 50 this morning at his home 11 miles northwest of Washington. He had been ill three weeks and had prior grocery work in Washington. Born January 25 1877 near Pilotburg he married Maggie Thompson in 1898 who died in 1930. Surviving are his daughter Mrs Charles Ashby two grandchildren a sister and three brothers. Burial is in Elm Grove cemetery with services at L A Jones funeral home Saturday at two o'clock conducted by Rev Keagy.
