Iowa DOT Alerts Studded Snow Tire Rules This Winter
The Iowa Department of Transportation reminds motorists that studded snow tires are legal from November 1 to April 1. Last winter 12.6 percent of Iowa cars used studded tires, a 2.2 percent drop from the previous year. Addy resigns as Iowa labor commissioner under cloud

Change that clock Americans revert to standard time
Washington reports the United States will return to standard time at 2 a.m. Sunday by turning clocks back to 1 a.m. Standard time lasts until April 24, 1977, when clocks move forward for daylight saving for six months.
